About Me
I'm a skilled computer scientist with over 5 years of professional experience in the IT world.
Currently, I lead research and innovation at Ristocloud Group, where I focus on technology research and development with particular attention to Cybersecurity, DevOps, and dynamically scalable infrastructures with Kubernetes.
I work effectively in all types of environments, bridging the gap between software design and production infrastructure.
In my free time, I enjoy reading engineering blogs to stay updated and acquire new skills, and I'm passionate about the evolving AI landscape. I'm also a fan of racing (especially F1/GT3), Padel, and all types of music.
Professional Experience
Research and Innovation Leader

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the research and adoption of technologies and best practices across a very large (over 2 million rows of code) legacy monolithic PHP environment alongside Go and Python micro services, serving over 90+ collective catering clients (almost all of the Italy market)
- Technical lead for a team of 8 software engineers (backend, frontend, mobile), defining code review processes, code organization, and work organization workflows, directly reporting to the COO
- Supervisor of all new large projects launched inside the company
- Technical lead and manager for the Flutter mobile app team supporting 100,000+ daily active users
Achievements:
- Migrated code and tools of our very large monolithic software from PHP 7.3 to PHP 8.3, extending its life cycle and reducing technical debt
- Migrated our on-premise infrastructure based on VMware to Google Cloud, greatly reducing the number of incidents and disaster recovery needs
- Established a bimonthly release cycle with a 2 week internal testing window, boosting software stability, reducing the number of client facing bugs, ensuring ISO 27001/9001 compliance and balancing software development time and client needs
- Introduced many technological advancements across all our softwares resulting in cybersecurity improvements, performance improvements, less production incidents and a better developer experience overall
- Designed and rolled out a complete fiscal cashier solution, currently running inside canteen collective restaurants handling over 10,000 transactions daily and smoothly
- Designed and rolled out the first ISO 14067 certified CO2 emissions calculator for dishes prepared and consumed inside collective restaurants, schools and hospitals
